The Sheer Power of SEO
How do we know SEO is firmly not in the dead category?
Well, take a look at this graph from MOZ which shows the growth in organic traffic we have achieved for our client since June 2015:
That’s 1,387 organic visits in June, and 20,360 visits in February 2016.
That’s 1468{4d2303c3d7018ed3e1a955ec2105d2bcecc5b881e14ee890535c5ae577f46e7a} growth.
What would you do with 1468{4d2303c3d7018ed3e1a955ec2105d2bcecc5b881e14ee890535c5ae577f46e7a} growth in organic traffic?
What would that be worth to your business?
The first way to think about it is cost. What would it cost you to get this traffic from Google Adwords?
In this case, the CPC in Adwords was approx £1 – that means the traffic in February would have cost them £20,360.
If this traffic continues across the year (we actually think it’s going to increase by another 200{4d2303c3d7018ed3e1a955ec2105d2bcecc5b881e14ee890535c5ae577f46e7a} at least), but lets assume it stays the same. That’s £20,360 x 12 months = £244,360 worth of Adwords traffic.
And this is how you measure the cost of SEO. In this case, the client is paying us £44,400 to achieve these results in a year.
That’s 18{4d2303c3d7018ed3e1a955ec2105d2bcecc5b881e14ee890535c5ae577f46e7a} of the cost of Adwords.
That’s over 1/5th cheaper.
That’s an additional £200k in their bank account, which does not include the increase in sales this traffic is achieving.
How do we do it?
Simple:
– World class on-page optimisation
– Optimisation and syndication of images and videos
– Outreach to gain white-hat links on high authority websites and blogs that operate gloabally within this industry
– Making the site secure on an SSL (https)
– Making the site mobile friendly
That’s it.
It’s not rocket science, but it does involve dedication, a strategy, hard work and the benefit of our 20 years experience working online and understanding how search engines work.
These results are extraordinary and cannot always be repeated for every client – it depends on the market you are in. But what you should notice is the time it took for the SEO work to really kick in.
The initial jump in June from 1387 to 4998 in July was achieved through mainly making the site https and performing retro on-page SEO.
The next big jump in December from 5997 to 9884 was achieved by the continual drip-feeding of our outreach programme and developing high authority backlinks using a wide range of anchor text variants.
The next astronomical jump to 20,360 was the continuation of Google recognising the authority and passing that power on to the site.
This is the truth about SEO.
SEO is not dead. But this parrot is:
