You never know how great it is until it’s not there any more! The years have rolled by and 26 have been at Manchester United with the trophy flood gates opening after 7 years in charge and did they roll in after that point. But let’s not forget about that little club called Aberdeen who he managed before hand and took titles away from the powerhouse of Celtic and Rangers.
Where ever he went he had vision and determination to success with a clear goal in mind.
- At Aberdeen to win trophies and stop the usual Celtic or Rangers winning each year!
- At Manchester United to beat Liverpool’s league titles then win the Premier League back from Manchester City!
- Find the best people and make them better – Giggs, Scholes, Beckham….
Hated by other fans but if you notice twitter etc the number of fans from rival teams acknowledging his success as one of the greatest managers of the game, up there with Paisley, Clough.
So remember vision and determination can be used in any business, if everyone has a clear goal then everyone is focused! Like the 99 champions league final when he did his famous half time team talk which motivated and inspired them to come back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 and lift the trophy!
But how many trophies did he win through out the years?
