Marketing + Humour = Memorable Ad

When using humour in your marketing, there’s a fine line between creating a funny ad and producing something that could cause offence.

  3. Here a long one but I have remembered this for 30 years so it works: I saw this joke advert for a kitchen cleaner called BUGGER. It stood for the Best Universal Grit Grime and Effluant Remover – & the slogan was – If elbow don’t brighten it & Daz don’t Whiten it:BUGGER IT !

    1. Nice one Steve. Slightly off subject, but do you remember TV presenter Stuart Hall’s travel company in Salford in the 1970s? I’m not sure if this is an urban myth or not, but it still makes me laugh. His business was, allegedly, called: Stuart Hall International Travel, or S.H.I.T. for short.
