  2. This is great and it underlines a really important message as there are loads of people out there (web designers, some so called SEO experts etc) that are more interested in corporate branding and “pretty” websites with lots of flash but when you get down to the nitty gritty of how traffic is driven to the pages and what are the conversion rates – they have no idea and if you’re not careful you get caught up in it and you’re wasting money – we’ve probably all been there but no more!!!

  3. Great video, with some interesting content and hidden tips. I particularly like the tip on ppc for each webpage to see if it is profitable.
PS The angry boss lady seems even scarier with the computer voice!

  4. Excellent wry humour movie which really reinforces the importance of building good seo into the design of websites. I’ll be using this as a check list from now on.

  6. Hmm. Sounds like how I rated my own company website until I encountered The System. Great check list. Still don’t know what 30% of the words mean so it also provides a list of things to find out about — always learning.
    Thanks Mark.

  10. Mmmmm! Where have I heard that before £100K site? Looks Pretty No SEO – website builders excuse: “not ready yet because you keep changing your mind – don’t nag us to finish, we’re busy buying a Porsche or a £4m house or shafting some other poor soul”
Shame the bug…s didn’t end up in jail.
Great video Mark – how true and insightful – from someone who knows and can verify it happens!
    Best wishes

  11. Hi Mark great video! Really neat!
Really does hit home the message of how important the workings of the site are over the aesthetics, thanks again for opening my eyes to so much about this on-line marketing stuff!
For any of you who have not yet picked up Marks DVD, do it now! Well worth it! Information on it is priceless!

  13. Brilliant Mark…
I recall the first website I had developed – it cost me the best part of £20K for a large CMS website that look a team of 3 indians about 6 months to build.
I thought I’d build a site and the masses would flock to it.
    They did’nt.
    I did’nt have a clue.
    I lost (a lot) money
    Lesson learnt.
Keep up the good work 🙂

  14. Interesting… i think the woman was far to harsh on the poor guy! She was a total Bitch and the guy needs to step up his game! lol
It”s interesting how it’s ok for a woman to speak down to another person in such a manner but if the same words were used but the M and F characters switched rolls, how would we perceive the interaction?
Would it be ok? Would we think it was ok?
I think this video is typical of the current generation of clueless men who are more like women. They don’t get it!
Otherwise, the commentary gets the message across that we need to be more focused on what people are searching for rather than how the site looks. In order to achieve this we need to do key word research and write key word focused content.
    Excellent 🙂
