Link Love – Do-Follow Comments

In the past Google used to disregard no-follow links when it came to handing out “Link Love”, but nowadays any “link love” that may have existed will just evaporate through a no-follow link. Now that things have changed nothing is gained by disallowing the flow of link love to people who have taken the time to join a conversation.
As of today I have installed the do-follow plugin and as an approved commenter on my blog, you will now receive plenty of “Link Love” from my uber powerful blog just for posting a good comment.

  1. This is great for sites that have a loyal following that wants to contribute but I thinkj this will increase the level of comment spam as well.
One of my clients has been actively blogging on his site and the level of comment spam has tripled in the last 2 weeks. My fear is that moderating comments will become an unmanigable task and site owners will simply elect to switch off comments or choose to set them to unmoderated. Neither is beneficial to their sites, the blogosphere or the web in general.

  3. ‘Link Love’ sounds like what I’ve been looking for, I’m a man who loves to love and my website and blog love links, so this sounds as though it will make us both very happy – even though I don’t fully understand it.

  4. Those who give and share, receive more in return. Those who withhold and are stingy, end up like Scrooge! Thank you for your good intentions and openness. I believe you will receive many benefits in return.

  10. Link love is a great plugin, there are a few other great do follow plugins like top commenters. I would always advocate using do follow blogs as the backlinks are solid.
